West End Beer Festival returns to Glasgow for fifth year

The West End Beer Festival is returning to Glasgow for its fifth year.

The event, which promises to deliver the best craft beer available in Scotland, takes place this weekend across 14 bars in the west end of the city,

This year's festival will host a huge variety of breweries, from new and exciting brands to old favorites and small independent "gypsy" producers.

Ticket holders will be able to sample beers from Overtone, one of Glasgow's newest breweries, as well as  Grunting Growler, Drygate, Alechemy, Dead End Brew Machine, Up Front, Out of Town, Gallus and a gin bar from Garden Shed Drinks Co.

Meanwhile Let's Get Eclectic will be spinning the decks and there will be live music from both FarrowHawk and Alan Ned Gray.

Organisers have said: "We can't promise the weather, however providing that it another smashing weekend the venue houses one of the west ends finest beer gardens and suntraps."

Tickets for the festival, which is for over 18s only, cost £8 and can be purchased on the day or in advanced here.
