West Dunbartonshire residents urged to restrict number of people they are meeting

People across West Dunbartonshire are being urged to cut down on the number of friends and relatives they meet up with in the run-up to Christmas.

The First Minister is currently addressing MSPs at Holyrood as the Scottish Government aims to curb the spread of Covid.

The Omicrom variant is said to be driving a rapid rise in infection rates with 3177 new cases reported today (Tuesday) and two people in hospital with the new strain.

Nicola Sturgeon said: “Please minimise your social mixing with other households as much as you can.

“If you do plan on socialising, limit the number of households represented to a maximum of three and make sure you test before you go.”
