A total of 126 deaths in West Dunbartonshire are now linked to Covid-19, new figures published today by National Records for Scotland show.
The deaths, registered in the week beginning August 17 and week beginning September 7 came after the area had gone for six consecutive weeks without registering a death linked to the virus.
In Argyll and Bute meanwhile the figure remains at 64, with the area not having reported a death where Covid was mentioned on the death certificate since the week beginning May 25.
Across the country five deaths linked to the condition have been recorded over the past week. The figure peaked at 661 in April.
