People in West Dunbartonshire could be back at pubs by April 26 and hairdressers preparing to open from April 5 if easing of restrictions goes to plan.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is setting out key dates in the roadmap out of lockdown in parliament this afternoon with plans to lift the stay at home restrictions on April 2, initially replaced by “stay local” guidance not to travel outwith your local authority area.
Providing levels of Covid-19 stay under control, from April 26, retail will be able to fully reopen as well as tourist accommodation and hospitality outdoors until 10pm with alcohol permitted and no requirement for food to be served.
The First Minister also indicated limited indoor hospitality would also be possible from this time and, from May 17, “indoor hospitality could return to greater normality”.

Ms Sturgeon also advised events, both indoor and outdoor could resume from this time.
By this time, she also advised it was hoped people would be able to meet indoors again, initially four people from two households.
Ms Sturgeon added: “We hope from the early part of June all of Scotland can move to level one and by the end of June, the whole of Scotland will move to at least level zero.
“That will be a massive improvement on where we are right now.”
Yesterday, all primary school pupils were back in the classroom full-time meanwhile secondary schools students began to return on a blended learning basis.
Just a month ago the locality was considered one of the country’s Covid hotspots, however rates have plummeted in recent weeks - with West Dunbartonshire now recording seven day rates of 43.9 cases per 100,000, well below the national average of 73 per 100,000.
Public Health Scotland data shows that the virus is now classed as ‘suppressed’ (where less than three positive cases have been recorded over seven days) in 10 areas.
These are Balloch, Bowling, Bonhill, Alexandria, Dumbarton East, Dalreoch and Lomond, as well as Clydebank North, Dalmuir and Duntocher.
