West Brom lead the way in the Championship table after the first game of the Championship restart.
It was a bad weekend all round for the teams at the top - unless you're Brentford.
West Brom were held to a 1-1 draw by Birmingham, with third-placed Fulham beaten by Brentford and Nottingham Forest drawing with Sheffield Wednesday.
That was all on Saturday, with Leeds slipping to defeat at Cardiff on the Sunday to leave the Baggies on top of the table on goal difference.
However, have Leeds been handed an advantage in the race to top the table and win promotion to the Premier League?
With the season interrupted by three months due to the coronavirus pandemic, a number of players have been left in limbo with regard to their contract situation.
And clubs were given a deadline by which time they must agree extensions with players out of contract at the end of June - that deadline being June 23 - today.
And promising youngster Nathan Ferguson - one of West Brom's biggest talents in defence - has rejected the chance to stay at the club beyond June 30, with suggestions that Crystal palace are going to win the race to sign him.
That means the Baggies will no longer be able to use the 19-year-old past next weekend, depriving them of a player who has turned out 21 times in the Championship this season, scoring one goal.
It could be a nice little boost Leeds United need to claim top spot in the table.
