West Brom set to end 402-day nightmare of former Swansea City star as deal poised - reports

Martin Olsson has been linked with a January move to West Brom.

The Swedish defender suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during Swansea's 3-2 win over Brentford at Griffin Park in December 2018.

He was released in the summer and is yet to find a club since leaving the Liberty Stadium.

However, reports in the left-back's homeland claim he is on the brink of joining Swansea's Championship rivals West Brom.

Expressen claim Olsson recently revealed he was the subject of interest from an unspecified English club.

And they are now reporting that he is poised to make the switch to The Hawthorns having not played any football in 402 days.

Olsson joined Swansea from Norwich City during the 2017 January transfer window.

He left South Wales having made 62 appearances for the Swans, scoring two goals.
