(Reuters) - West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson has signed a new three-year contract to extend his stay until 2020, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

Dawson, who arrived at the Hawthorns from Rochdale in 2010, made 39 appearances last season and has featured in both of West Brom's victories in the league this campaign.

"I've always felt very settled here and I'm delighted to have reached this agreement," Dawson said in a statement.

"I've watched the club come through a challenging spell and like to feel I have played my part in helping us improve, step by step."
