West Brom join Leeds United in the Premier League after crazy Championship final day

West Bromwich Albion will join Leeds United in the Premier League next season after a crazy final round of Championship fixtures.

The Baggies needed to at least match Brentford’s result, and with the Bees losing at home to Barnsley, Slaven Bilic’s side’s 2-2 draw with QPR was enough for automatic promotion.

The dramatic match at the Hawthorns started with Ryan Manning putting the visitors ahead before Grady Diangana’s equaliser just before half-time.

Callum Robinson put the Baggies ahead early in the second period before Eberechi Eze made things very nervous in the Midlands.

However, Barnsley's dramatic victory at Brentford means that West Brom will be back in the Premier League for the first time since the 2017/18 season.

Leeds and West Brom have been the two sides at the top of the Championship table for the majority of the season.

However, a late charge from Thomas Frank’s Bees put Bilic’s men under immense pressure and at one point, it was in Brentford’s hands, before a 1-0 loss at Stoke City.
