West Brom handed blow ahead of Nottingham Forest showdown

Nottingham Forest will travel to The Hawthorns on Friday on the back of a goalless draw against Luton Town in midweek.

The hosts will head into the encounter without their captain Jake Livermore - a huge miss for head coach Valerien Ismael.

The 32-year-old was handed a straight red card in their defeat to Huddersfield for a clash with Fraizer Campbell.

Albion had since appealed the sending off but were unsuccessful with Livermore being handed a three-game ban to take in games against Blackpool, Forest and Coventry.

Livermore had previously served a one-match suspension with Kyle Bartley for collecting five yellow cards but this could be extended to a two-game ban if they collect another five more.

When it comes to injuries they are without long-term absentees Kean Bryan and Dara O'Shea.

Bryan suffered an ACL injury in the Baggies' 1-0 win over Hull at the beginning of November and is expected to partake in pre-season next year.

While the Irishman suffered a fractured ankle and ligament damage after a collision for the ball with Diogo Jota on international duty for Ireland.

He has since started using the club's anti-gravity treadmill but still faces a long road to recovery.
