Slaven Bilic has admitted Leeds United 'very close' to securing promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites extended their lead over the Baggies to three points after they beat Swansea City 1-0 thanks to Pablo Hernandez's late winner on Sunday, whilst their rivals drew 1-1 at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
It means, with three games left to play, Leeds need four points and will be promoted with a win on Thursday against Barnsley if Brentford don't beat Preston North End the night before.
Whilst West Brom sit only three clear of the Bees, with a significantly inferior goal difference to boot.
Leeds, by Bilic's own admission, are on the cusp of booking their place in the Premier League, however.
“They are in position but they are not promoted yet, you know," Bilic told the media, as reported by Birmingham Live.
"But the goal they scored yesterday – 1-0 – they are very close.”
West Brom, meanwhile, take on Fulham on Tuesday, who also still hold an outside chance of second place after a four-match winning run.
Scott Parker's side are nine points behind Leeds but could still catch West Brom, especially with victory on Tuesday night.
