West Brom boss picks Nottingham Forest and Leeds United among Championship's biggest clubs

West Bromwich Albion boss Slaven Bilic believes Nottingham Forest are one of the biggest clubs in the Championship.

Forest may be long-time exiles from the top division, but their rich history and wide-spead fan-base always has them in the conversation when the Championship's 'biggest clubs' are being talked about.

And West Brom manager Bilic - whose side are the only team currently above Forest in the Championship table - agrees, picking out the Reds among others as one of the second tier's powerhouses.

In an interview with Croatian outlet Vecernji List, he said:" West Brom is one of the contenders (for promotion), by club size and by name, with the league being specific in that it has a dozen clubs in a situation like that.

“You have three clubs that have dropped out, Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham, then Nottingham Forest, then West Brom, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Stoke… there are a lot of big clubs in that league.”

Forest are just goal difference behind West Brom in the current table, both sides picking up 22 points from their first 11 games.

The Baggies' opening-day win over the Reds was Sabri Lamouchi's side's only defeat so far this season.
