West Brom and Brighton linked with move to sign Swansea City striker Andre Ayew

Swansea City striker Andre Ayew is the subject of transfer interest from West Ham and Brighton, according to reports.

The Ghana international has been a consistent goalscorer for the Swans during his stay in South Wales and is now drawing interest from the Baggies and his former manager Graham Potter at Brighton.

According to the Daily Mail, a clutch of top-flight clubs are keen on landing the striker ahead of Friday's deadline.

Both West Brom and Brighton are keen to add some firepower before the domestic window shuts at the end of this week and that is certainly what Ayew will offer.

Steve Cooper will not want to allow a player of Ayew's calibre to leave without having a replacement lined up and will face a hectic few days trying to fill the void if the Ghanaian does depart.

The 30-year-old forward, who has enjoyed two spells in South Wales, has a lot of experience in the Premier League with both Swansea City and West Ham.

He was particularly prolific last season, scoring 15 goals in his 44 outings for the Liberty Stadium outfit and helping drive that push towards the play-offs, alongside young loan star Rhian Brewster.

With Brewster having been bought by Sheffield United and Ayew now a target for a glut of top-flight clubs, Cooper will be desperate to ensure he has enough goals within the squad for when the season starts back up this weekend following the international break.
