West Bridgford restaurant launches 'dream job' for brunch taster

A pick 'n' mix brunch menu has been launched by a West Bridgford restaurant - the perfect compromise for anyone who can never make their mind up.

The Botanist has created a new concept where diners pick one of three items from six categories to build a brunch board so there's no chance of getting bored with all different combinations.

The brunch boards, costing £15, are being launched by the restaurant in Bridgford Road, from Monday (June 14). They will be served daily.

And if you fancy yourself as a bit of a food critic, they've announced a 'dream job' as a brunch taster.

Three lucky food lovers will be picked to eat for free in return for their feedback.

More than 300 wannabe Grace Dents and Giles Corens have applied on The Botanist's Facebook post. Three will be picked at random when the competition closes tomorrow (Friday, June 10) at noon.

Categories are eggs and tofu, hearty, bakery, fruit and grains, sweet and fruit juice.

You can mix and match dishes including fried eggs with chilli and chives; smoked trout and salmon pâté, croissant with strawberry jam, passion fruit and coconut chia yoghurt pot, Nutella and French toast and matcha, apple, cucumber, mint and lime juice.

Each section has a vegan option too.

And if you want to add some pizzazz by making it bottomless for an added £15, there's a choice of Prosecco, house pints or Spritz (Aperol, raspberry, blood orange or elderflower).
