KOLKATA: The Bengal government on Saturday extended the 2% stamp duty concession and 10% reduction in circle rate to home buyers till March 31.
The sop was announced in the state budget on July 7, 2021 to boost demand that had slumped due to the pandemic.
Initially till October 30, it was later extended till January 31, 2022 following pleas from developers' body Credai. This time, too, Credai had requested an extension citing the third wave and the Pous month that Bengalis consider inauspicious for transactions.
