KOLKATA: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced a slew of relaxations in the state related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Banerjee said that the night curfew, which is currently being enforced from 11pm to 5 pm, will now be in place from 10pm to 5am.
Restaurants, bars and cinema halls have been allowed to operate at 75 per cent capacity.
Parks and tourist spots can reopen, provided all safety norms and Covid-appropriate behaviour is followed.
Besides, schools for classes 8 to 12, colleges and varsities will also reopen in West Bengal on February 3, Banerjee said.
"We will decide on reopening primary schools later," she added.
