West Belfast 'stabbing' sees man taken to hospital

A man suffered injuries to his head after an alleged stabbing in West Belfast.

It was reported that a 58-year-old man was assaulted at a property in Norglen Parade just before 8pm on Wednesday, July 14.

The victim was taken to hospital and a 33-year-old man has been arrested.

PSNI Inspector Swann said: “Police received a report that a man had been stabbed just before 8pm last night. The victim suffered a knife wound to his head and left wrist and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.

“A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody at this time.

“We are appealing to anyone with any information regarding this incident to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1907 of 14/07/21.
