West Belfast shop offers free Halloween costumes for those struggling with costs

Like all major holidays, the expense around Halloween can be challenging for some parents - the costumes, the makeup and then goodies for trick or treaters.

A Belfast store is giving away free costumes today to help with these costs in a bid to reduce the stress felt by parents of exciting kids.

Springfield DayToday on the Springfield Road offered their support to families across the city.

In a Facebook post they said: "We appreciate how times are difficult for people we believe that charity begins at home right here in Belfast.

"Therefore if you find yourself struggling financially to provide your child with a Halloween costume fear not, we will give you one free. Just come in and we will sort it for you."
