A man in his 50s has been shot in West Belfast .
Medics were called to O'Neill Lane off Britton Parade in Whiterock just before 10pm following reports a man had been shot in the leg.
A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said: "The call came through just before 10pm.
"It was a gun shot wound to the leg.
"The man was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital conscious and breathing."
