West Belfast road closed following "serious" crash

A West Belfast road has been closed in both directions following a "serious" crash.

Police say the incident took place on the Stewartstown Road near Michael Ferguson Roundabout.

They are urging motorist to seek an alternative route.

A PSNI statement read: "The Stewartstown Road in west Belfast has been closed in both directions in the vicinity of the Michael Ferguson roundabout following a serious road traffic collision.

"Local diversions are in place whilst enquiries into the collision are carried out."

There is no further information at this time.
