The PSNI has issued an appeal over a "suspicious" man who banged on the window of a van with a weapon near a filling station in Belfast early on Sunday.
Police were called to the incident near Blackstaff Filling Station on the Springfield Road in West Belfast at around 4.50am.
A PSNI spokesman said: "This male is alleged to have been wearing a blue rain coat when he approached a parked van while in possession of a weapon, banged on the passenger window and shouted for the driver to get out of the van.
"Thankfully the driver was able to drive off quickly to escape the suspect.
"Were you in the area at this time and may have witnessed the incident? Perhaps you were passing the filling station at around this time and may have dash cam footage?
"If you have any information to assist with our enquiries, please contact Woodbourne Police by calling 101 and quote serial 419 of 01/12/19."
