West Belfast crash: Diversions in place following two vehicle collision

The emergency services have been called to a crash between a van and a car in West Belfast this morning.

The police, ambulance and fire service are at the scene of the collision on the Monagh Bypass, which took place at around 9.10am on Wednesday, March 3.

A section of the road has been closed but traffic is still moving slowly through the area.

Police say diversions have been put in place and drivers are being asked to find alternate routes until the road is cleared.

It is not yet known if anyone has suffered any injuries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "There has been a 2 car collision on the Monagh Bypass in West Belfast. Diversions are in place."

It comes as police attended another two car collision in Lisburn this morning.

Officers closed a section of the Ballylesson Road at around 7.30am and put diversions in place.

However the road has now reopened as of 8.53am. It is not yet known if anyone suffered any injuries in the collision.
