It is understood the young male was injured in a one vehicle road traffic collision on the Falls Road on Saturday night.

"Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage available, is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 1917 03/10/20."

A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a crew came across the incident on their way to another call out.
