West Belfast burglary: Three masked men take cash and pension card from elderly man's home

Three masked men made off with money, a bank card and a pension card after burgling the home of a man in his 80s in West Belfast.

At around 7pm on Friday, November 12, it was reported to police that three masked men entered a house in the Divis Street area.

After entering, the men searched the upstairs and downstairs of the property, before being disturbed in the living room by a man aged in his 80s who lives there.

The three masked men then made off on foot from the back of the property, with a sum of money, a bank card and a pension card taken during the incident.

Officers are now appealing to the public for help.

Detective Sergeant Faulkner said: “Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1600 12/11/21.

“A report can also be submitted online using our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

“You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."
