Wes Nelson targeted by scammers who are using his name for a fake ITV casting account

Wes Nelson is being used as bait by scammers to hoax social media users.

The Love Island star, 22, shared on his Instagram stories on Thursday that he is not involved with a fake online account that is claiming to be an ITV casting page.

The former Dancing On Ice contestant asked his fans to "ignore" messages from the unverified page as it is a scam.

Alongside a selfie, which the hunk had used a face distorting filter on, he typed: "Also anyone who’s received messaged from a fake 'itv casting' account claiming to send my number out please ignore you’re being scammed."

The star also confirmed that he is is currently living with Love Island alumni Josh Denzel after he split from Arabella Chi during lockdown.

Appearing to be sick of sharing the news of his new housemate, he penned atop of a snap: "For the 48 millionth time yes I am living with Josh and have been since everything happened."

The former dating show contestant moved out of the home he shared in London with the model, 28, after several fights.

Last week, a report in The Sun revealed the pair have gone their separate ways, and their six year age gap was a contributing factor.

Wes and Arabella had both starred on separate Love Island series, but crossed paths in July 2019 when they started dating.

Their split comes as a huge shock, as Wes said earlier this year their relationship was "going so, so well".

A source told The Sun about the split: "It's all over. They started to grow apart and the age gap became really noticeable between them.

"They want to remain civil with each other and hope to remain friends."
