Wes Nelson shuts down Megan Barton Hanson reconciliation as he SLAMS ‘laughable’ Vanessa Bauer rumours

Wes Nelson has shut down any chance of a reconciliation with his ex-Megan Barton Hanson, saying the pair’s relationship is still tumultuous.

The reality TV stars split in January, six months after meeting on Love Island, and days into Nelson’s stint on Dancing on Ice.

He was hit with reports he had a fling with his skating partner Vanessa Bauer, with Barton Hanson accusing show bosses of deliberately partnering Nelson with the “hottest” contestant.

“We haven’t spoken in a good amount of time,” he told the Loose Women panel of Barton Hanson. “Sometimes its civil, sometimes it’s not. I’m happy to be civil. I’m not malicious or bitter. Whatever happens, happens.”

Asked if they would ever get back together, he replied: “I don’t think so no. It’s sad but sadly I don’t think so.”

Nelson also slammed claims he had a fling with Bauer, deeming the reports “laughable”.

“I split with my ex and there were a lot of allegations,” he said. “There’s no truth in it. It’s laughable. In training everyone was laughing. Vanessa is probably one of the most professional people I’ve ever met in my life.”

Shutting down Barton Hanson’s claim that Bauer splitting from her boyfriend of three years hours before Nelson’s Dancing on Ice debut was “tactical,” he said: “We all go through break ups at this stage in our lives so it’s not a big coincidence.”

Wes Nelson opens up about Megan Barton Hanson break up

Barton Hanson this weekend opened up about the hurtful comments she received from trolls telling her Nelson “deserves” to be with “athletic and natural” Bauer.

“I’m not going to lie, it hurts, I’m human,” she said at a Glamour event. “Just because I have a blue tick next to my name and on a show for a couple weeks it doesn’t make me invincible, it still hurts.”

Nelson, who is in talks for his own TV show, finished in second place to James Jordan on Sunday night’s Dancing on Ice final.
