Were Sunderland right to sack Phil Parkinson? Have your say on big Black Cats decision

Sunderland are now looking for their fifth manager since they were relegated from the Premier League in 2017.

Phil Parkinson became the latest managerial casualty following his side's 1-1 draw at Fleetwood on Friday night.

He follows Simon Grayson, Chris Coleman and Jack Ross out of the Stadium of Light exit door in the three years since the club left the top-flight and David Moyes resigned.

Sunderland fans were never particularly in favour of Parkinson's appointment, although he recovered from a disastrous start to take the club to the brink of the play-offs before last season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And in the aftermath of his sacking, supporters seem happy with the decision.

All the focus is now on who will replace him in the Sunderland hotseat, with Paul Cook and Gus Poyet both linked.

However, what we want to know tonight is whether you agree with the decision.

Should the club have stuck with Parkinson until any takeover was completed?

Or with two winnable games against Burton and Wigan coming up, was this the right time?
