Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen LIVE stream, TV channel and how to watch online plus Bundesliga prediction

The first weekend of the Bundesliga's return rounds off tonight with Werder Bremen hosting Bayer Leverkusen.

The world tuned in as German top-flight football restarted on Saturday and Sunday, with eerie scenes of empty stadiums highlighting that, for now at least, this is the new normal for the beautiful game.

Leverkusen are still in with an outside chance of a title shot as they return to action, with Peter Bosz's side led by Kai Havertz - linked with Manchester United - and Kevin Volland in attack.

As for Bremen, they are one point off bottom spot - but Florian Kohfeldt's team have two games in hand over their relegation rivals. Still, games in hand count for little when you're losing, and the hosts need a result tonight.

Date, kick-off time and venue

The match kicks off at 7:30pm BST today at the Weserstadion, Bremen.

Prediction

Bremen 1-3 Leverkusen: Given the respective positions of the teams before the lockdown, it is difficult to look beyond an away win.

It is tough making any concrete predictions after such a time away, but Bremen have conceded 55 goals this term - the joint-highest in the league - and Leverkusen should put a few past the hosts.
