Wendy Williams has revealed that she will be changing how she dates following the coronavirus pandemic.
On Thursday, the talk-show host discussed her love life and how the rules will vary post-corona during a Zoom interview with Extra’s Billy Bush.
According to Williams, she “wants to date” once social distancing guidelines have lifted - but there will “be no kissing on the first date”.
“Even those rules have changed for me,” the 55-year-old said.
Williams, who filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Hunter in 2019 after 21 years of marriage, also confirmed that she is a “hopeless romantic” and is open to getting married again in the future.
“I am a hopeless romantic, I will admit that right off the bat,” Williams said, continuing: “I would get married again with a very simple prenuptial agreement.
“Basically, what’s yours is yours, what’s mine is mine.”
However, the media personality said she wouldn’t walk down the aisle again, but would “like to get married in a hotel room”.
“We don’t even have to go on a honeymoon,” she added. “I don’t care.”
This is not the first time Williams has opened up about how her dating life will change as a result of the pandemic. During an interview with Access Hollywood's Mario Lopez earlier this week, the Wendy Williams Show host said no sex on a first date “like the old days” will also be standard.
“I'm very frightened about what's going to happen once we step out of the house. I think people are going to go back to normal times, and I won't. I'm not shaking hands anymore. I'm not kissing on the first date. There will be no sex on the first date, like the old days!" she said.
Sharing food will also be off-limits, according to Williams, who added: “I'm just saying, I'm a single woman now, so there's certain things that you won't be able to do. When I go out to eat, nobody is putting their fork in my plate.”
As for whether she has been meeting potential suitors online, Williams said that she doesn’t mind online dating, but not during a pandemic as “People are lying about who they are, what they do”.
