Wendell Smallwood says he won’t sell out the Eagles to help Redskins

New Washington Redskins running back Wendell Smallwood isn’t about to give his team any inside info about the Philadelphia Eagles.

As seen in the tweet above provided by Jeff Skversky of 6ABC, Smallwood is adamant he won’t sell out his old team for the new one.

Smallwood came over via the waiver wire after the Eagles let him go, a lottery win of sorts for the Redskins since he was one of the most sought-after players on the wire after 53-man rosters were set.

This is a common theory that comes up whenever a player gets claimed or signed by a team that will play his old one but often doesn’t hold a ton of weight because things change so much on a weekly basis.

Smallwood’s time in Philadephia is something that goes beyond the NFC East rivalry, which is just fine.
