Wemyss Properties has appointed Scott Brotherstone as contracts manager after he worked with the firm on its development of eight townhouses at Craigleith Road in Edinburgh.
Brotherstone held a similar role with Central Building Contractors (CBC), who were the main contractors on the development but went into administration in April. He now leads a small team completing the project.
Brotherstone brings almost 30 years of construction experience from his previous roles at firms also including Morgan Sindall, Taylor Woodrow and Bovis Lend Lease.
He said: “I’m delighted that this fantastic opportunity has arisen from otherwise difficult circumstances. I already feel part of a very dynamic, close-knit team and it’s exciting to join Wemyss Properties at a time when the company has ambitious growth plans and I am able to oversee the completion of this stunning development.”
Glasgow-based Wemyss Properties is the developer behind numerous luxury residential projects in the city and Edinburgh.
