Premier League games could be hosted at Wembley Stadium in a bid to conclude the season, according to reports.
English football bosses remain determined to play out the campaign, with 92 games left to play should it been deemed safe to resume after the coronavirus pandemic.
Elite sport across England, and the globe, as been postponed for the foreseeable future amid the social lockdown put in place by the government.
The Times reported on Monday morning that the League could restart in June with behind-closed-doors games, with as multiple matches being staged at Wembley Stadium on the same day.
A source is quoted: "By June or July they will be playing games solely at TV events.
"If they have to play four games a day at Wembley to get it done, they will do that."
A 'World Cup-style TV mega-event' has previously been mooted by The Independent, with the government reportedly interested in an event which would "engross the population" during a country lockdown.
Much like the now-postponed Euro 2020, multiple matches would be played each day with clubs, and all required staff, officials, broadcasters and the like isolated in hotels to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19.
