Wembley stabbings: Two men knifed in incident near student accommodation

Two young men are fighting for life after a double stabbing outside student accommodation.

The victims, both in their 20s, have been rushed to hospital after the bloodshed in Wembley Park, northwest London, Met Police said.

The horror happened right outside the private student accommodation block, which is home to young people studying at various universities in the capital.

It's said the halls, called Grand Felda House, have been evacuated.

One witness tweeted: "Both males were stabbed and ran into the [accommodation] office for help."

It's not confirmed the victims are students.

It comes as five stabbings have blighted Edmonton, north London , less than 15 miles away.

Brent MPS tweeted: "Officers are in Empire Way Wembley HA9, after two men in their 20s were stabbed this evening.

"Police were called at 20.21hrs. Both victims in hospital in life threatening condition.

"So scary. Knife crime is out of control in London."

Students at Westminster University, City University and Middlesex University live at the premium Grand Felda House.

The facilities there include a communal lounge, cinema room, games room and free access to a nearby gym.

It's a short walk from Wembley Park station, which is served by Jubilee Line and Metropolitan Line on the London Underground network.

Mirror Online has contacted CRM Students, which owns Grand Felda House.
