Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in north west London.
Armed officers and the London Ambulance Service found a man in his mid-20s suffering from gunshot injuries on Harrow Road near Stonebridge Park just after 8pm on Friday after reports of a shooting.
The man died in hospital a short time later.
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination are now due to take place.
Officers said a crime scene remains in place and motorists are being warned to avoid the area.
Scotland Yard said local residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area.
