Wembley grounds staff have a tough job on their hands after a final NFL game ahead of Tottenham and Manchester City's Premier League game.
Philadelphia Eagles beat Jacksonville Jaguars in the last Wembley-hosted NFL international series game, less than 28 hours before Spurs host City.
Tottenham was originally scheduled to host the champions at their new stadium on Sunday, but delays to the grand opening saw the game switched to the national stadium for a Monday night match up.
The middle of the Wembley turf was in a poor condition ahead of Sunday and worsened after a night of rain and bruising action.
This week, City star Kevin De Bruyne voiced his concerns over the pitch so soon after the NFL encounter, telling reporters of his previous experience of playing on an American football pitch.
"It's not nice, it's going to be difficult," he told reporters. "I'm not sure how it's going to be. We hope it will be OK and we can play like we normally do.
