Wembley murders: Danyal Hussein, 18, killed sisters in 'unprovoked and random attack', court hears

Metropolitan Police/PA

Two sisters who were killed in a London park were the victims of an “unprovoked and random attack”, a court has heard.

Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman were found dead on 6 June after celebrating Ms Henry’s birthday in Fryent Country Park, Wembley.

Danyal Hussein, 18, appeared in court charged with murdering the two women on Monday.

Prosecutor Joel Smith told the Old Bailey: “This was an unprovoked and random attack on two members of the public involving the use of a knife.”

The court heard that Ms Smallman, 27, and Ms Henry, 46, were stabbed multiple times in the early hours of the morning.

The women's bodies were found together the following day.

Mr Hussein, of Guy Barnett Grove in Blackheath, southeast London, was arrested at his home on 1 July.

He was charged with two counts of murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Appearing in court by video link from prison, he was not asked to enter a plea by Judge Mark Lucraft QC.

Mr Hussein was remanded in custody ahead of a plea and case management hearing set for 21 September.
