Welsh springer spaniel worth up to £5,000 stolen from Pembrokeshire farm

A pet dog worth a potential £5,000 has been stolen from a home in Wales.

The three-year-old Welsh springer spaniel, called Mabli, was last seen at the farm where she lives in Pembrokeshire almost two weeks ago.

She was in season at the time that she was taken, and it’s thought that with a litter of puppies she would be worth thousands of pounds.

An appeal has been launched for her safe return after her owner said she and the other dogs on the farm have been left upset by the ordeal.

Police have pinpointed an hour - between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, October 28 - when they believe she was taken from the farm.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Our rural crime team is investigating the theft of a dog potentially worth £5,000.

“Mabli is a three-year-old rear Welsh springer spaniel bitch, who was in season when she disappeared. With a litter of pups would be valued at around £5,000.

“She was stolen sometime between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, October 28 from a farm near New Moat, Clarberston Road.

“Her owner and other dogs have been left upset.”

Anyone with information that could help locate the dog is asked contact PC Gerwyn Davies of Dyfed-Powys Police by calling 101.
