Sir Bryn Terfel's powerful opera singing has won him worldwide acclaim.
The 53-year-old from Caernarfonshire has taken on some of opera's greatest roles in Don Giovanni, Le nozze di Figaro and Tosca.
But the knighted bass-baritone has shown he has talents suited for more than just the stage.
A video has been circulating on Twitter showing Sir Bryn showing off his soccer skills, completing nearly 50 keepy-uppies in a back garden.
He controls the ball using both feet, his head and his chest - barely breaking a sweat.
Stephen Evans shot the footage in his garden in Penarth on Saturday.
"Bryn is our neighbour," Stephen, 58, said.
"He had just come from London where he was performing at the Royal Opera House.
"He popped in just before the Champions League final so I said to Bryn I bet you can't do 50 keepy-uppies and he did."
Stephen, who is also married to the well-known soprano Rebecca Evans, posted a video of Bryn's performance on Twitter.
It has been viewed nearly 50,000 times and attracted 1,356 likes.
"I have always known he was a great sportsman in his younger days," Stephen said.
"He's a multi-talented, amazing guy. For such a tall person you wouldn't expect that."
One Twitter user wrote: "Bryn's pretty nimble, eh?" Another said: "This is fantastic."
Stephen said he has only seen positive feedback from Sir Bryn's fans who were surprised to witness his skills.
"They have all been lovely responses," he said.
"The real soccer fans were making great comments that the had no idea he was so good.
"It was all good which was nice."
