Every day, we make assumptions about people.
They’re based on looks, on clothes, on accents or language.
Muslim women know this better than most. What do you think when you see a Muslim woman in a hijab or a niqab? That she’s oppressed? That she’s been forced to wear it?
These women have different stories to tell, of inspirational people doing inspirational things. Sadly, they include the experiences of abuse or racism which have formed part of their lives.
But just as being Muslim is one part of their make-up, so is this: they are brilliant Welsh women doing wonderful things.
