Welsh-made Channel 4 show The Great House Giveaway is back for a new series after Bafta win

The Great House Giveaway, the hit Bafta-winning programme from Welsh indie company Chwarel, is back for a second series on Channel 4 and S4C.

The property programme where two strangers who have never owned a home buy a property from auction and then have to renovate it into a liveable and practical home in just six months, will be back on our screens in September and returning again later in the year.

If successful after six months and the property is re-sold then the strangers get to split any profit made. If not the house goes back to auction.

This quirky property programme that hit our screens last year was Channel 4's best performing new 4pm show since 2018 and went on to win a Bafta in the Daytime Category.

Joining the existing presenting team is Tayo Oguntonade, who will co-host alongside Simon O'Brien, and Carys Davies who hosts the S4C show.

Five new episodes of The Great House Giveaway will air in September, as part of Channel 4's Black to Front month.

Then a second series of the programme will air later this year, with the release date for this series not announced yet.
