Welsh father and son magic act get through to final of Britain's Got Talent

A Welsh father and son magic act have made it through to the final of Britain's Got Talent.

James and Dylan Piper have been named as one of five acts voted through by the public to the last stage of the competition.

The magic duo from Aberdare received a standing ovation from Simon Cowell during the audition stage thanks to a card trick that involved his son Eric.

Giving his feedback at the time Cowell said: "That was really, really special. I love the fact it was a family affair and everything linked to him and I. I liked the presentation. It was a really great audition, all of you."

Alongside the Cynon Valley duo, fellow magicians Damien O’Brien and Jasper Cherry and Aidan McCann were also voted through thanks to public support alongside choir Sign Along with Us.

It means all five acts will battle it out against the judge's top picks - variety act Steve Royle, dancers Aaron and Jasmine, magician Magical Bones, comedy singer and performer Jon Courtenay and stand-up comedian Nabil Abdulrashid - to be crowned the winner.

While the finalists pre-recorded their performances for safety reasons, tonight we will see the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 crowned live on air.

The prize however will remain the same - a life-changing £250,000 and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
