A decision could be made on Saturday to effectively shut down Welsh rugby amid the coronavirus emergency.
The Welsh Rugby Community Game Board will meet to discuss the situation relating to community rugby.
A short statement from the Welsh Rugby Union ran: “Following the postponement of the Wales Men v Scotland and the decision to play Wales U20 v Scotland behind closed doors, a decision on the WRU community game will be made at a WRU Community Game Board (CMB) meeting on Saturday.
“The Welsh Rugby Union has maintained an open dialogue with, and continued to seek advice and direction from, the Welsh Government and other stakeholders, on the fast-moving issue of Covid-19.
“All involved in Welsh rugby are urged to keep checking the latest advice from the Government and Public Health Wales.
The Six Nations clash between Wales v Scotland, scheduled for this weekend, fell victim to the crisis when it was called off on Friday afternoon.
The Wales U20s v Scotland U20s match on Friday evening was going ahead behind closed doors.
Aberavon and Llandovery’s Indigo Premiership game was postponed after the decision over the Six Nations encounter, while a similar call was made over Newport’s clash with Llanelli.
League and cup matches are set to go ahead in England, subject to certain qualifications.
But with the Guinness PRO14 suspended until further notice, Welsh rugby will be pretty much locked down should the CMB take similar action over the community game.
