Welsh cleaning star's £3.99 hack to remove hair from a vacuum cleaner

Getting hair and debris which is stuck in your vacuum cleaner is not an easy job.

It gets stuck in the roller brush and can be difficult to remove.

Jo Tunnicliffe-Evans, better known as Jottiesjournal on Instagram, has shared a nifty hack.

The Welsh cleaning sensation, who boasts 106,000 followers on social media, sent her fans into a frenzy when she used a tool to quickly get rid of the hair.

Posting on her Instagram story, Jo revealed she uses a RollaReleasa, which costs £3.99.

The product is actually made specifically to keep vacuum brush-rolls "free from hair and fibres and improves dust collecting performance."

Jo impressed followers as she posted before and after pictures of her vacuum cleaner after using the tool.

Speaking to WalesOnline, Jottiesjournal said: "If you, like I used to, struggle to remove hair and other debris stuck in, this literally glides through to remove it easily.

"It also makes it a lot safer for you too."

Sharing another tip, she added: "People often don't realise they can remove the roller brush.

"There is often a button to press, or something to twist to remove it.

"Some models require you to insert something to remove it, but doing so makes it easier to clean the roller head and the inside too."

Jottie recently shared a pencil hack for getting spot stains out of shoes.

If your suede shoes are damaged from water stains, Jo suggested using a white vinegar solution and a pencil rubber.

She said: "The rubber is fab for spot stains, just gently rub the stain away. For larger stains and for a general clean, I would recommend white vinegar."

While Jo likes to use the Stardrops White Vinegar, which costs just 89p from The Range, you could also make this at home, diluting the cleaning vinegar 50/50 with water.
