In the run-up to 8 June, Guardian journalists will be reporting in-depth on a range of constituencies around the country, with the aim of telling stories about the election that come from beyond the political bubble. As part of that project, Steven Morris will be reporting from the parliamentary constituency of Wells in Somerset.
The constituency is in the north west of the county and covers around 215 square miles, including parts of the Mendip Hills, the Somerset coast and the Somerset Levels. The main towns are Axbridge, Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea, Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet and the cathedral city of Wells. About 82,000 people are registered to vote.
The constituency is currently represented by James Heappey MP (Conservative). But the Liberal Democrats won there in 2010.
How you can help
Steve is interested in the issues people living in Wells care about, not just how they’ll vote – and would like you to contribute to, guide and help shape his reporting. Agriculture and tourism are big issues in this constituency but what other issues are important to you? What are the issues the politicians are failing to get behind?
If you live in the Wells constituency, please get in touch by filling in the form below and tell us what issues will decide this election. Where should he go, what should he cover and who should he speak to?
Your responses are secure as the form is encrypted and only the Guardian has access to your contributions.
