A well-known Dalbeattie couple have celebrated their diamond wedding.

Stewart and Margaret Carson of John Street, were married at Craignair Parish Church, Dalbeattie, on June 27, 1963 by the Rev N Douglas Craig.

The couple, who received a congratulatory card from King Charles III and Queen Camilla, celebrated the occasion with a family gathering.

The couple have a grown up son and daughter and a grandson.
