'Well done Agent Woodgate!' Leeds United fans delighted as Nottingham Forest drop points again

Leeds United fans were left thanking former Whites defender Jonathan Woodgate on Monday evening, after his Middlesbrough side held promotion rivals Nottingham Forest to a 2-2 draw at the Riverside.

The visitors took the lead just before the half-hour mark, when Ryan Yates received a pass from Sammy Ameobi and finished well from outside the box.

But rather than fold after conceding what was a soft opener, Jonathan Woodgate's side were soon level, when Rudy Gestede nodded the ball over the line five minutes before the break for his eighth goal in ten appearances against Forest.

Lewis Wing completed a first-half turn around, shooting first time following an impressive counter attack on 44 minutes.

Boro hopes of a first win since New Year's Day grew as the second half went on, but they were denied on 86 minutes when Lewis Grabban poked the ball home with his back to goal in front of goalkeeper Aynsley Pears.

The 2-2 draw means Boro remain in the bottom three, but Leeds fans were pleased to see one of their promotion rivals again drop points.

Here's how Leeds fans reacted to the result and the fact that fourth-placed Forest could only close the gap to eight points...

Next up for Forest is a home clash against Millwall on Friday evening.
