A Gateshead family had a dream start to 2022 after welcoming their daughter into the world on New Year's Day.
Lauren Mulhern, 25, delivered her beautiful baby girl, Miyah, in the early hours of the morning as she became one of the first babies to be born this year.
Little Miyah Kate Ormston arrived at 4.35am on New Year's Day at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, weighing 6lb 9oz.

Delighted mum Lauren, a support worker, said she was taken to hospital at 8am on New Year's Eve and spent all day and night in labour, with partner, Michael Ormston, 20, by her side.
Lauren, who is also mum to son Riley, four, couldn't praise staff enough for their support throughout her labour.
She said: "I have had a brilliant experience, the staff are fabulous. I highly recommend the place."
Little Miyah is dad Michael's first baby and the Gateshead labourer, along with partner Lauren, couldn't be happier with the safe arrival of their daughter.
"We are over the moon with Miyah," mum Lauren said.
"We are so happy and she looks so cute."
