Prominent gay journalist Andrew Pierce has just arrived at the Daily Mail, and whom should he be sitting next to? None other than Jan Moir, whose column about the death of Stephen Gately prompted accusations of homophobia and 25,000 complaints to the Press Complaints Commission, the largest in its history. Pink News reports that the seating plan had caused a "stir" at the Mail's office. Pierce told the website he would be writing a column for the paper: "Change from within and all that. I'll have a column. It will reflect me, my outlook – gay, out and proud. That won't change. I'm very excited, as people can't ignore the Daily Mail."
