Welcome to the Changing Business hub, a Guardian venture in association with international law firm Olswang. Through this new editorial hub we will explore how the media, technology and telecoms industries are evolving and negotiating new challenges and opportunities with regulators, customers and society. We will focus not just on the legal issues in these sectors, but on the people, decisions and market opportunities that are shaping those industries.
Over the next 12 months, as the range of global and startup enterprises seek to commercialise new products and markets, we will examine, analyse and debate the most pressing legal issues. We will provide insight in relation to issues such as cyber security, piracy, M&A trends, intellectual property strategies, emerging digital markets and privacy. We will also look at how the Internet of Things is impacting the tech and telecoms industries, both from a regulatory and commercial point of view.
