'Welcome to Everton, Wilfred Zaha!' - Toffees' fans react to Arsenal's move for Nicolas Pepe

Everton fans are growing ever more confident that Wilfried Zaha will join the club this summer.

The Crystal Palace star has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly seeing two bids rejected for the winger.

But now with the Gunners having looked like they have secured Nicolas Pepe from Lille - Zaha's hopes of securing a move to the Emirates look to be over.

The Gunners are set to pay €80m for the Lille winger - paid by instalments to fit the north London club's budget.

Napoli also had an agreement with Lille - but Pepe’s agent reportedly rejected their proposal.

The Toffees' interest in Zaha has only recently came to light, with the Goodison Park club reportedly looking to secure the 26-year-old for around £60million, with the Blues also set to throw Cenk Tosun into the deal in a bid to get the transfer done.

But while it seems there is still a long way to go before Zaha will be moving to Merseyside, Everton fans, reacting to the Pepe news on Twitter, believe the deal will be done.
