The clans are gathering in Scotland today and top of the bill is outgoing ITV chief executive Charles Allen. The word here is that he may confound the critics and deliver a memorable MacTaggart lecture - and that Channel 4 is his main target.
Allen is set to attack Channel 4's output (such as Wank Week) and to its "begging bowl" attitude over finances.
Other highlights today include BBC1 controller Peter Fincham, a look at the growing importance of daytime TV, and Sir Trevor McDonald talking about his life in TV news.
Plus, this afternoon, a bunch of execs, including the Guardian's own Emily Bell, will be making fools of themselves by appearing in a live performance of Sir Alan Sugar's The Apprentice.
